Given the Ford F-150 Lightning’s unique challenges related to size, weight, and limited bed area, Worksport is conducting comprehensive tests to accurately measure the SOLIS’s potential additional mileage when integrated as a passive charging option. While the F-150 Lightning’s specifications may impact the total miles gained, preliminary estimates suggest that the SOLIS solar cover can significantly enhance the vehicle’s range, emphasizing Worksport’s commitment to maximizing power efficiency for its customers. Previous calculations by Worksport’s engineering team indicate that the Solis Solar Tonneau Cover could potentially increase range by up to 10 miles under certain conditions.
In addition to the SOLIS solar cover, Worksport plans to offer the SOLIS and COR battery bundle for the F-150 Lightning, providing a comprehensive solution for clean, off-grid energy utilization. This innovative combination enables solar power utilization without depleting the vehicle’s onboard power reserves, representing a significant advancement in sustainable automotive technology.
The COR Battery, a crucial component of this bundle, is currently undergoing rigorous testing and is on track for its Alpha Launch.
